You guys – my latest obsession is Bubble Tea. The first time that I ever had it was months ago when we ordered sushi from Bubblefish (I can’t have sushi anymore, except avocado rolls)
I remember that we got this mango smoothie that had these amazing, tapioca balls at the bottom of it. I was hooked. From that point, I’ve been on the ultimate quest to find the very best Bubble Tea in the city. There’s still one place on my list that I have to check out – Tu’s Tea.
Anyways, last weekend we ventured down to Chinatown to check out Miucha – the cutest little Bubble Tea store. You walk in to the brightest colors + all of these cool lights and wall decor.
They have so many options (I was a little bit overwhelmed to be honest), but I ended up getting the Peach Green Tea with Boba and Sea Salt foam. This was the first time that I had ever had Bubble Tea where they put foam on the top and flavored it.
Let me just tell you, it was heaven.
Billy ended up getting dessert (we had just eaten lunch at Sabrina’s prior). Wait until you see what he got…
HOW INSANE IS THIS?! It was amazing.
Basically, it’s a waffle that they fold ice cream into – the waffle is made fresh, right before your eyes. It’s so warm and fluffy. Then they put Franklin Fountain ice cream into it. If you live in Philly, you know that this is the absolute best ice cream in the city. It’s so rich, creamy and flavorful – my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
They top the dessert with Oreos, a few drizzles of chocolate syrup, sprinkles and two little pocky sticks (at least I think that’s what they are).
So, if you’re ever looking for a spot to grab some Bubble Tea, whip out the laptop and work… Check out Miucha in Chinatown!
