How To Find Hidden Gems at Forever 21

Kind of a weird blog post concept, eh? But I have a feeling that this is going to be extremely useful.

At this point, you all know that Forever 21 is my favorite store to shop at. It’s affordable and reliable for the latest trends – you can always find unique pieces that don’t break your millennial budget 😉

But – funny enough – the most common response I get is, “Girl! You find the best stuff at Forever 21… Whenever I go in, I can never seem to find anything.” Which is understandable because their stores are just honestly bat sh*t crazy. It’s like some sort of organized chaos in the most frustrating way.

There’s stuff strewn everywhere; clothes not displayed where they belong. It’s like you find your favorite top ever, but it’s not in your size. Logically, you’d think that it’d be hanging with all of it’s over cute top friends – instead, it’s wedged in-between two puffer coats. CAN YOU RELATE OR NAH?

Anyways, today I’m gonna reveal all of my secrets for shopping at Forever 21 so that you can avoid the chaos.

FOREVER 21 SHOPPING TIP 1: CAN’T FIND YOUR SIZE? THEIR PRICE TAGS HAVE CODE NUMBERS

OKAY. Please listen up.

Let’s say that you hypothetically find the absolute cutest pair of knitted joggers on a manequin right at the front of the store (you know, like I did last Saturday) yet they’re nowhere to be found.

So, logically, you ask the sales associate where they are in the store. He proceeds to tell you that he sold out. You ask him if he can sell you the pair on the mannequin. He says no (makes sense right, since they don’t even have them in stock… like why are you even displaying them then SIR?!) But that’s besides the point.

Anyways, I took matters into my own hands. I took a picture of the tag that contains the EXACT PRODUCT CODE. That’s right ladies (and gents) you heard it here first. Forever 21’s tags each have a unique product code (all numbers, see below with the number right under the barcode). Just type that code into the search bar on Forever 21’s website and it’ll bring you RIGHT to the exact item. This tip is also useful for bloggers who are trying to find their items online to link in their posts.

See, I found the exact pair of pants by searching the code located right under the barcode scanner!

FOREVER 21 SHOPPING TIP 1: LOOK ONLINE, SHOP ONLINE.

Look, we all know that it can be overwhelming to shop in-store at Forever 21. I like to preface each one of my shopping trips with a little bit of – you know – really detailed and high level, super intelligent research… aka perusing the Forever 21 website.

I like to know what I’m getting into before I buy it. I’ll always look at the “New Arrivals” on their website to see what kinds of styles they’re putting out for that season. If I like what I see, I’ll venture in store.

They’re also a brand that offers free shipping a lot, which is a win-win because they now offer FULL REFUNDS instead of store credit. That way, you can purchase things online without the fear that you’re only going to get store credit back if you end up not liking the item.

I swear that they have so much better stuff on their online store. Some of the pieces that they have I’m shocked at. Like the coat that I’m wearing in this outfit. It was only $39 and I’m totally obsessed with i!

FOREVER 21 SHOPPING TIP 1: TAKE YOUR TIME.

I’m so serious. When you go in-store, you really need to carve out a solid hour and half solely dedicated to sifting through the racks.

Because the store is so disorganized (most times, no shade to Forever, love y’all) you really need to take your time and make sure that you’re looking through EVERYTHING. I’ve found the most amazing dresses and items in their clearance lacks but you’ve gotta have time to LOOK.

It’s like thrifting – the reward goes to the one with the best eye and is able to sift through aisles / racks of things to find ONE or TWO good things! Take your time and be patient, you’ll find some amazing pieces in no time!

Now, I’m off to wash my face and put a face mask on!
