Skincare Products I’m Loving Right Now

YOU GUYS, I’m kind of… living for my skincare routine right now.

As summer comes to a close and fall / winter are finally upon us, my combination oily skin tends to get a little bit more dry. The patches around my nose start to get red, flaky and irritated while my forehead stays as shiny + oily as a bag of Five Guys fries.

So, this fall… I’ve taken matters into my own hands + have come up with a skincare routine that has truly worked wonders for my all-over-the-place skin.

Here’s the lowdown – my skin is acne prone, texture prone, and all of the other kinds of “prone” there are. I’ve had my fair share of battles with adult acne and break outs. However, I feel like my skin is in one of the best places that it’s been in a while.

Beside the products, some other tips that I have are to HYDRATE. Are you sick of people telling you to drink water or what? But seriously, our bodies are made up of 70% water… What do you think is the first area of your body to show signs of dehydration. HELLO, it’s your skin!

I like to drink this super easy beauty water – you can read my post all about it here. First thing in the morning, gulp that sucker down. Your skin will thank you later.

NOW, let’s get into the products! YAY.

Thayers Witch Hazel Toner Spray | LAVENDER

THIS STUFF IS LIFE CHANGING. I used this back in college when my skin was breaking out terribly and I was searching for all-natural skincare products that could help tone down my inflammation and redness.

Recently, I discovered from my friends Alex and Mike that Thayer’s makes their popular witch hazel toner in a SPRAY BOTTLE. Is that not a game changer or what?

So, after I shower or wash off my makeup the very first thing that I do is spray this Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner all over my face. Three spritz’s will due, the sprayer on these bottles is pretty spot-on and evenly disburses the product.

Witch hazel is a natural skin care remedy that’s been used for ages. Basically, it does a lot of amazing things but more specifically it helps to fight acne, redness + inflammation. These are all things that my acne-prone skin has dealt with in the past.

I find that this product really helps to tighten my pores too. Not that I had big pores to begin with, but it makes them feel like they’re being “closed” after being steamed open by the hot shower. You know?

Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream

UGH. I absolutely adore this product – I got this sample size from my Play! by Sephora box a few months back and have been using it religiously ever since. First of all, it’s thick (but not too thick) it’s got substance to it.

You feel like you’re truly rubbing the product into your skin as opposed to having it disappear on you.

What I like about it is that it contains collagen and Vitamin C – both products that help to fight the signs of aging. While I’m still fairly young (twenty three) I think that it’s so important to prevent things before they happen.

Therefore, I take my skincare seriously + will use anything that can help prevent my skin from makin’ me look like an old weathered purse.

Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer

First of all, is the name not the most fitting thing ever!? This is also from my Play! by Sephora box that I got just before our trip to Phoenix. I brought this along in my travel bag + instantly fell inlove with it.

This moisturizer is a lot lighter – perfect for the morning or evening if you’re going to layer another moisturizer ontop of it.

The two different ways that I use are: underneath my foundation in the morning and underneath another moisturizer at night. While the product is great on it’s own, I find that it’s extremely unique because it hydrates the skin without leaving any oily / greasy residue!

It’s got an aloe-like texture to it. It quite literally feels like you’re taking the aloe straight from an aloe plant!

If you’ve got oily skin, this product is going to be your new BFF!

Glam Glow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment

So, I’ve had this product for quite some time now.

It’s my go-to overnight mask. For those days when I feel like I need a lil extra self care. I apply it as the last step in my skincare routine.

After all of my moisturizers and serums are on, I’ll apply this about once or twice a week to give my skin that added boost of hydration that it needs. The next morning when I wake up, I feel like my skin looks full. It looks hydrated, supply + youthful.

If you’ve got dry skin, or even combination / oily skin like I do… This product is going to be your “ah–ha” product. The one that you don’t know how you could ever live without!

Hope that you all enjoyed this post! If you try these products out, let me know what you think!

Talk tomorrow,
