MWAH! Happy Friday loves!
How was your week?! Hope it was good! Mine was super productive and exciting – I started the #30DaysOfRealnessChallenge + have been loving it.
Tonight’s date night for us. I made reservations for Butcher Bar in Center City – we haven’t been yet. Super excited to try!
Today’s blog is going to be a quick little post about why date night is so important to us (mostly because I need to get food in my belly + spend some quality time with my man!)
For those of you who don’t know, Billy owns his own company. He currently has two full time employees who work with him and another partner who does sales with him! Super exciting. I can’t even put into words how much I admire his work ethic, passion and drive for success and fulfillment. You guys, it’s super crazy and inspiring and I couldn’t be happier for him and how far he’s come (and it’s only just the beginning, AHH!)
BUT, with that being said… quality time is limited.
If any of you date entrepreneurs or have parents or family members who are in business for themselves, you know the hustle. The grind doesn’t stop. It’s all day, everyday, 24/7. What’s a weekend?
Billy (and I) spend most of our weekends working. He’s tending to his business and everything that comes with the responsibility of owning your own company while I’m focused on growing my blog, shooting content, writing content or doing tons of other stuff for this passion of mine.
WOW, I really can ramble and ramble, LOL! So… let me get to the point as to why date night is so important for us.
It’s our time to connect. Cell phones away, no interruptions. We get to loop each other in on what’s going on in our lives. Spend some quality time together, and eat really yummy food.
When you move in with someone it can be easy to take quality time for granted. It may seem like you’re spending time together because you live with each other – but how much of that time is solely dedicated to each other + your relationship. Reconnecting and spending an uninterrupted night together is so important.
What are some of your guys tips for spending quality time?! I’d love to hear.
